Fire Ban Update BCR July 12 2023

Whereas we the Chief and Council of Henvey Inlet First Nation authorized and implemented a FIRE BAN via Band Council Resolution 2023/24-015 dated May 29, 2023;

Be it hereby resolved that we the Chief and Council remove this fire ban effective July 11, 2023 within the boundaries of French River I.R.#13 aka Pickerel, Henvey Inlet I.R.#2, aka Bekanon, and Cantin Island aka Cantin Island;

Be it also resolved that this decision does not allow for daytime burning.

If you have been nominated for either Chief or Councillor, Nominee Packages for all On-Reserve Members can be picked up at the Administration Office. All Off-Reserve members will have a package mailed to you via express post on Friday February 10, 2023 to the last know address provided by the First Nation. Henvey Inlet First Nation General Election 2023 Polling Notice General Election

Notice is hereby given to eligible voters of the Henvey Inlet First Nation Indian Band that a General Election poll will be held Thursday March 23rd, 2023, to elect one (1) Chief and seven (7) Councillors of the Band, and that such poll will be open from nine (9:00) o'clock a.m. local time until eight (8:00) o'clock p.m. local time at the Henvey Inlet First Nation Fire Hall, Henvey Inlet First Nation.

I will count the votes that same day, Thursday March 23rd , 2023, at the same location immediately after the close of the poll and declare the results of the election.

The Education Administrative Assistant reports to the Education Counsellor and is responsible for providing ongoing administrative support for the Education Department to ensure smooth operation of educational support programs. The Education Administrative Assistant will assist with documenting, tracking and reporting on training and education programs and initiatives. This position requires exceptional organization and time-management skills and strong computer skills.
