Highlights from this months newsletter:

  • Gezhtoojig Employment and Training will be in HIFN for Community Outreach on November 15th.
  • Community foodbank is seeking donations to have on its annual Food Bank Penny Table 
  • HIFN First Response and Fire Dept. is accepting applicants to head the team starting in April 2017. Current leader, Lionel Fox will be retiring his position.
  • Remembrance Day wreath making will take place at the health centre on November 7th. 
    HIFN Offices will be closed on Remembrance Day.

There will be a Remembrance Day ceremony at the Epitaph at the cemetery at 11:00 am on November 11th, followed by lunch at the health centre.

Henvey Inlet First Nation is seeking a temporary, full-time Janitor to join our Administration for a 6-month contract. The Janitor reports to the Administration Manager and is responsible for cleaning all HIFN commercial buildings at the end of each business day. The Janitor will perform general cleaning duties including sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning and stocking restrooms, washing walls and windows, cleaning the kitchen and fridge, disinfecting all high-touch surfaces and trash removal. This position requires strong self-motivation, great attention-to-detail and excellent time-management skills.
