First Nation Infrastructure Fund – June 2009
We received $745,000 from the First Nation Infrastructure Fund to improve Pickerel River Road at the Cabbage Lake Crossing section. The road will be widened plus elevated to reduce the angle of the hill and large concrete culverts and guardrails will be installed. This will improve safety as well as decrease flooding problems in the spring. Completion date is now August 2009.
Business and Community Development Workshops - February - June 2008
A number of workshops were delivered in February and March 2008 covering business topics related to setting up Band Corporations, Directors and Officers Responsibilities and Obligations and How to Assess Business Opportunities. The Red Leaf Venture, Wind Energy Projects and many of the Land Designation projects will be further assessed in workshops that will conclude in late June.
Update: Due to unforseeable circumstances, the Workshops will conclude now by August 2009.
