Peto MacCallum Ltd (PML), acting as a subconsultant to Parsons Canada Ltd., will be conducting soil surveys for a section of the Highway 69 four-laning project, which passes through the Henvey Inlet First Nation Lands. This project is being undertaken on behalf of the Ontario Ministry of Transportation.
PML requires one labourer as part of the field crew to assist in the drilling of test holes along the finalized highway route, in particular on the alignment crossing Straight Lake. Duties may include site reconnaissance, site access, bush clearing, surveying and associated duties.
The successful candidate should enjoy working outdoors, doing moderately strenuous work at times, during various time periods from Winter to Spring 2017.
The successful candidate will report directly to a PML field supervisor and will be picked up daily at a mutually convenient location near the existing Highway 69 at approximately 8:00 a.m. Work hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily.
Starting Salary is $15.00/hour. Previous construction and outdoor experience would be an asset but not absolutely necessary.
PML is providing all necessary training to undertake the duties to be completed. There will be an initial Health and Safety training meeting. Appropriate personal protective equipment (vest, safety glasses and hardhat) and ancillary equipment will be provided. Safety boots will not be provided and are mandatory.
